"But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with
wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint"

Cedar Bay Baptist is an intentional missional church and take the mandates of the Great
Commision (Matthew 28:19-20) and Acts 1:8 seriously. The following is an overview of our
missional activities.

"Jerusalem"

We have defined our "Jerusalem" as being within a 5-mile radius of our church location. This
mission field is comprised of 65,000 people, 24,000 households which looks like this: 53% African
American; 45% White; 2% Hispanic and other people groups. We reach our "Jerusalem" via a
focused ministry called, "Storming the Gates."

"Judea"

Our Judea is defined as the State of Florida...we engage this field in several ways. We were the
mother church of three church starts Celebration Baptist in Yulee, FL; Starratt Village ISC
(Indigenous Satellite Church) in north Jacksonville; and Harvest Baptist in Orange Park, FL. We
are prayerfully considering future opportunities. In addition we are a major supporter of the
Women's Resource Center of Jacksonville, an area crisis pregnancy and counseling center.

"Samaria"

North America, NAMB partnerships...many opportunities here. Our church partners with the Bay
Lakes Baptist Association in Green Bay, Wisconsin through financial support and mission trips.
Our most recent trip was in July 2010 where we conducted VBS, survey work and prayer walking
at Community Bible Church in Black Creek, WI. We also support Community Bible Fellowship in
Livingston, Montana and Mountain Bible Church in Pine Tree, Montana. In January 2010 we sent
a building team to Livingston to build an archery range in the basement of CBF; this has
attracted a number of Montanans to "under the word" opportunities. We are excited about further
outreach in 2011 and beyond.

"uttermost part of the world"

We have partnered with two mission couples (Leslie & Brenda Shaw and George & DeeDee
Johns) in Honduras since 1996 and made eighteen trips since then. There we do VBS in the
schools, in-home visitation, Bible preaching and teaching. Pastor Tyler has led pastor
conferences throughout the District of Lempira. In addition, we financially support Mike & Marty
Edwards (Honduras); and Dan & Laurie Fuller (New Tribes Missions - Thailand)
